J Mascis helped design some limited edition shoes last year, which I knew about, but I somehow missed this cover that was included for people who ordered them. I discovered it last night while prepping for an upcoming duet post.

The original of this by Mazzy Star was their only real “hit”, and it’s a beautiful song, and J Mascis completely does it justice here. Though he can melt your face off with his guitar at any given moment, J is also fully capable of handling these delicate, lovely songs with his silky/croaky voice.

It’s a slow, grey morning here this morning, and this song fits it perfectly.
