Dig had an alterna hit of some kind in the 90s but hell if I can remember what it was.  And I pretty much only watched Fat Albert when I stumbled across it.  So you wouldn’t think there would be much to draw me towards this cover by a mediocre band of a mediocre cartoon theme song but there’s something about this track that just kind rocks.

If a band slipped this one into the middle of their show, I think people would go kinda nuts.

  1. This is one of those albums that I bought with lots of high hopes of nostalgia, and I’ve probably listened to it once. It’s just not the same unless you’re watching the real thing. Though looking at it again, there are a lot of good bands. I need to give it another listen.

  2. I felt the same way – high hopes but it’s a pretty disappointing collection of songs. There are some gems hidden in there but there’s also a lot of really dumb renditions.
