This was inspired by Lance’s selection for the day, in that it also falls firmly in the category of “I randomly heard or thought of this song one day and remembered how awesome it is and holy crap I can totally hear myself singing this and I’m going to bust this out at karaoke next time!”

Which, of course, was followed by “Oh man, I can’t hit these notes at all and this is horrible and can we skip this song please? It’s ok that I’m in the middle of it.” Actually, I think I was trying it in a private room with Lance, so it was easy to skip. But man, it’s all about those couple of a cappella opening lines. So awesome. MUST NOT GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION AND FORGET I CAN’T SING THIS.

About Chris

Chris is a digital producer based in Toronto, but don't worry, he's American. He enjoys karaoke and video games that are old enough to cost under $20. He used to be a master of the pit and live shows but can hardly keep up with anything new nowadays, so he usually goes to his happy place of media from his wayward youth. Chris is still trying to figure out what to be when he grows up.

  1. Isn’t it the worst when you forget you can’t sing a song… but you’re like a stanza in and you’ve already committed and can’t pull a “Oh, shit – I meant a different ‘Sherrie.'”

  2. This is the power of us workshopping in a private room, but these days since they’re so far and few between we’ve got to make each song count, unless maybe it’s a lazy Saturday afternoon at 17…
